Only democracy can save Burma
Some uninitiated people assume that Burma is going to disintegrate if the Burma Army’ control is not strong enough. This is not true.
The Burmese
people and monks took to the streets to demand for political change and
democracy, because more than 40 years of military rule has impoverished the land
and reduced the people to beasts of burden at the mercy of the
military.
The SPDC uses the State revenue to purchase arms for the army
and now the Burma Army is the largest it has ever been, and the threat of
disintegration has never been greater. Strengthening the military’s control in
Burma will only accelerate the process of disintegration. You cannot rely on the
SPDC generals to save the country from disintegration, because they are only a
gang of fools driving the country into pieces.
