Khun Sa's Crony Released By US

One of the drug suspects snatched by a joint US-Thai operation five years ago has quietly returned to Thailand, said S.H.A.N. source in Chiangrai.

Na Hsai-kuei, a hotel owner in Maesai, Chiangrai Province, came back from the United States three months ago. "He was so quiet about it that I learned just a few days ago", said the source.

"He looks fit and healthy", added the source.

Na Hsai-kuei, a Chinese Muslim, was arrested, along with other drug suspects, in 1994 and later extradited to the United States.

Chalee Yangwiriyakul, Fusheng a.k.a Sai Zing, Liu Fengteh, Chang Teh-chai, Sai Long a.k.a Chao Kuo-ang,

Somwang a.k.a Lo Teh-ming and Khamzuen a.k.a Chang Yuen-long were among those detained. "All of them were close associates of Khun Sa", said the source.
