Drugs seized in Burma army's camp, says Shan Army

Nearly two hundred thousand speed pills were found at the junta outpost that was seized early this morning, said an official from the Shan State Army. 

After an attack by Khunsang Tonhoong Column of the Shan State Army at predawn hours from 02:00 to 04:00, the Shans were able to capture 7 dead and a huge booty that included 170,000 methamphetamine pills, known as Yaba in Thailand, 1 RPG - 7 missile launcher, 4 G 3 automatic rifles, 1 G 4 automatic rifle, 1 60 mm mortar and a large amount of ammunition, he said. 

The attack took place at Pakhee outpost, opposite Nawlae village in Fang District of Chiangmai. The defenders, 20-strong, were from IB 225 of Mongton, Monghsat District, Eastern Shan State. 

It was near this outpost that 14 villagers, including 4 women, were beaten to death on 2 March on their way to Thailand. The incident was reported by S.H.A.N. on 21 March.
