Interring Li Ziru

On 22 January, the United Wa State Army's Second in Command Li Ziru, who died on 9 January, was buried outside Panghsang.

The quality of the photographs here certainly leaves a lot to be desired. In addition, the Wa top leaders are consciously absent in the photos, although Gen Loimao, Commander-in-chief of the Shan State Army "North" and some of the ceasefire representatives are seen among the mourners.

However, these are the only photographs we were able to get hold of and we sincerely hope the reader will not look the gift horse in the mouth.
