Khun Sa memorial service program

The following is the program for the memorial service for Mong Tai Army leader Khun Sa, who passed away on 28 October 2007 in Rangoon.

The program, written in English and Shan, has been provided by its organizers.

A Bid for Khun Sa’s Final Farewell
 

As we all know from the news media that the Mong Tai Army’s (MTA) leader, Khun Sa has passed away at his residence outside Yangon on Sunday, October 28, 2007. We will hold a religious ceremony according to the Buddhist tradition and to bid him the farewell.
 
Therefore, we, the Community in Hin Daek Village (Thoed Thai) would like to take an opportunity to invite you all to attend the religious ceremony at Wat Kar Kham, Hin Daek, Theod Thai, Mae Fa Luang, Chiang Rai as the following schedule:
 
November 8, 2007 (Thursday)
                       
12:00 Noon     :           Serving lunch
13:00               :           Arrangement for the donated items
17:00               :           Listening to the Buddhist texts
22:00               :           Refreshments for tea-break and snatches; and the legacy & Biography shows of the late Khun Sa
                       
November 9, 2007 (Friday)
 
06:00               :           Offering breakfast dana to the invited Buddhist monks
07:00               :           Serving breakfast to the audience
11:00               :           Offering lunch dana to the invited Buddhist monks
12:00               :           Serving lunch
13:00               :           Offering and observing the Buddhist religious activity; and sharing the merits
