Visual Points: National Day marked in New York
Despite the intense cold and heavy snowfall, the Shans in New York, under the
guidance of Ven Milinda, held a ceremony last evening (9 February) to celebrate
the Shan National Day/ Shan State Day as well as to mark the third anniversary
of the detention of elected Shan leader Khun Tun Oo and 8 other leaders on 9
February 2005.
