The prize giving
On 19 September, the Peter Gruber Foundation held a ceremony at New York's Columbia Law School to present its 5th annual Justice Prize and the 3rd annual Women's Rights Prize.
The Board's selection of SWAN and Women's League of Burma to share this year's Women's Rights prize was accounted by Kavita Ramdas, President of the Global Fund for Women.
The joint prize was received by Nang Hseng Moon, on behalf of SWAN, and Thin Thin Aung, on behalf of WLB. (The Justice Prize went to a Param Cumaraswamy.)
The ceremony lasted 1 hour, 18:00 - 19:00.
