I am overjoyed to hear of your success in your respected examinations. I am sure that your successes will be greeted with heightened self-assuredness and great pride among all the Tais. Below is the enthusiastic report from Sao Khu Dhammasami of your achievement. Yesterday, the M.A exam results were out in Colombo and four more Tai monkspassed, one of them with a distinction. The four are Sao Jagara (Kyauk-me),Sao Aggaamsa (Laikha), Sao Gandhama (Pang-long) and Sao Nadamedha(Kengtung). Sao Nadamedha has a distinction pass. He and Sao Aggavamsa have BA(Hons) from the same Sangha university in Colombo and have been studying there for over six years. They all are the sons of Shan peasants. Sao Jagara is a graduate of Rangoon Sangha university where he has a distinction BA in Buddhism and he also has another BA in history from Rangoon Arts and Science uni.Wishing you all the best and a Prosperous New Year.
