Constitutional meet to recess before New Year
The 10th session of the junta-held National Convention that began on 10 October will adjourn on Friday (29 December), according to a reliable source close to Convention delegates.

Lt-Gen Thein Sein, Chairman, National Convention Convening Commission (NCCC)
"The Convention has covered all the 15 chapter headings of the constitution," the source told S.H.A.N. "It will take just two more sessions to conclude its work."
The 11th session, according to the source, will go over topics discussed and decisions taken throughout the 10 sessions that began in 1993, at the end of which a Constitution Drafting Commission will be formed.
The draft constitution is expected to be presented at the 12th and final session. "Then comes the referendum to ratify the draft by the people," he concluded.
Burma has been without a constitution since 1988.
