Another journalist blacklisted

A border watcher reported yesterday that George Scott, who wrote "fabrications" in The Weekend Australian newspaper, has been put on the blacklist since 3 August. 

Ex- Shan leader passes away

Sao Hsaikaew, 66, of the defunct Shan State Army East, died yesterday at 19:10 hours, said Boonyuen, his son this morning. 

His remains will be kept at Tha Kradart Temple in Chiangmai until 19 August, when he will be cremated.
