Burmese army setting up outpost in Thai territory

Burmese army setting up outpost in Thai territory

Flash news

It was reported this morning that some 20 troops from LIB 359 at Doi Maemaw, a mountain shared by both Thailand and Burma between Monghsat township and Mae Fa Laung District, have been taking position at a small hillock inside Thai soil. On inquiry, they replied they were there to monitor the movements of the Shan State Army troops in the vicinity.

The Thai army is still trying to convince them to move back into Burmese soil, said a source close to the Army.
